I downloaded Lord Simeons dm-kGalleon2k map and read his directions. The game wonīt start because it says it canīt find the aw cubes.
There were two files with a .u and .int extensions and if I understood Simeonīs directions they are placed in the Systems file.
All the other files had .ogg, .utx etc endings.

interesting problem. many times maps assume that you have both ut2003 expantion packs (bonus packs) installed. these have a lot of texture and system files that many authors use. cannt tell right now since i am at work, but give me about 4 hours and iīll check my ut2003 system folder. if you havenīt already, i would go ahead and download and intall the 2 bonus packs, available here: http://ut2003files.com/sort.files?cat=1792&ref=256

well here goes the next stupid question: I have patch 2225 does it include the 2166 patch that seems to be required BEFORE I install the patches you suggested.
Sorry if I seem like a noob. I am to ut and making maps but not to gaming.
i downloaded some other UT bonus packs but I didnīt know what path to tell them do install on and they didnīt seem to be automatic...sigh
my ut game path is c:/ut2003
but those ut bonus packs seemed to want me to tell them something i wasnīt sure so i didnīt install them...sorry I need so much help.
Once I get it, I will be willing to help others. I do in Ghost Recon, Americas Army, Medal of Honor etc etc..

well shoot me if iīm wrong, but i think 2225 SUPERCEEDS 2166, so you shouldnīt need to install 2166 at all if you have 2225. bonus pack one should ask for and put everything in c:\ut2003 automatically, and same for the umod version of the digital extremes bonus pack. if you have the zip version you can just have it make a folder of the files and drag them yourself to the proper folders. there should be a read me file in there to guide you

did a search of my hard drive and found aw cube.utx
(a texture file) in the ut2003 folder. strange, it also found one in the ut2004demo folder. must be pretty comonly used and i suspect part of one of the bonus packs. its 4,848 Kb in size

you guys in admin are awesome!!!!!! thank you so much...I needed the two new downloads and now most of the games are working fantastically....I still am having trouble with the ut bonus paks 1,2,3,4...at least i am not sure if they installed correctly..maybe they did. the big ones from epic did their own little thing quite well..lol.
but i am happy i can alot more maps...etc just havenīt had time to try them all out...
i love lord simeonīs galleon map..it is pretty awesome..jump boots and all...

yes, that kgalleon remake is quite good, you have to remember to not accidentally waste the 3 boot jumps:)
