a remake of the UT 1 classic. with some jump pads added and some area´s made bigger. there are some problems though, the textures look as if they´ve been ripped straight from the UT 1 version, that green water looks especialy dodgey. and the bot AI is pretty bloody average.

With only two Dom points, the hole lower part is more or less in play, rather less. The textures and lightning are looking great. What I miss most is the translocator, but when you spawn in the basement, you can use jumppads to reach the higher level or run up the long hallway. The layout is pretty much the same as the original UT map. Good remake, but I´m missing that extra DOM point.

You must try this map.
A fine remake with very neat and clean neo-egyptian architechture. The labyrith of mostly square columns provides cover for a well laid out series of jump pads that speed you from the center of the map to the DOM points. This is symetrical, so would work really well for a fast paced CTF or BR level. What could have been very monotunous wall and floor textures is softened with well placed torch light. The dark, moving clouds skybox suits this well. The DOM points can be attacked from 3 sides, with a tricky water volume on 4 sides. The bots defend well on the 3 sides, but only attack down the middle. Weapon placement is good, with a sneaky shock rifle sniping spot above the DOM points. The better pick ups are out of the way, so you sacrifice precious time getting them. Try this map! hawkwind
