CTF2M3, better known as "Spill the Blood" became the most demanding map to play in scrims, matches and especially in tournaments. Clans over the years have written specific strategies how to attack and defend itīs layout and all came to the conclusion: whoever owns Quad Damage, owns the map... in this case, itīs Double Damage =o) I remember distinctly when the map would countdown to begin "3-2-1" and both offense teams would scramble like mad men to first nab the precious purple symbol of power.. some falling to their death in the lava below.. and especially my fearing the incoming attack with the power it possesed. OMG... Those were some wild times! I dedicate this map to the Old School Players of Q1 CTF. Love that lava zone running down the hole. Metal textures are good, wooden bridge textures could be better. You get a suprising push to the flag using the jump pad. The defense had better stay awake! Great asault pathing. The little buzzards even know how to hide with the flag in your base so you run off looking for them! There is all sorts of pathing to the special items, but I havenīt seen the bots go for them yet. Great doors! Listen for them to find the enemy. The concept of this map and itīs final outcome are worlds apart in comparision. This map originally began as a rather huge map with undergound pyramids for itīs bases. Once the red base was complete, I created the common courtyard between bases where it took on a new form/direction. It was then I abandoned the lower sections and focused solely upon making the Courtyard to central theme of the map. Many thanks go out to Nick, Melissa, Rich and Dissident for their testing and input.
